Ready for a relay event?

On 10th November 2024, The 2024 Vendée Globe, yacht race all around the world, will start from Les Sables d'Olonne.
IVAO France Events department invite you, the day before, to bring all the tourists to Les Sables d'Olonne on Saturday, 9th November 2024 from 16:00 UTC to 19:00 UTC.

PILOTS

To participate in this event, you have to fly with an other pilot as teammate!

Pilot n°1 : Pilot n°1 will depart, under IFR rules, from wherever he wants, to Nantes (LFRS) or Poitiers (LFBI) airport.
Pilot n°2 : Once pilot n°1 arrived on blocks, pilot n°2 will be allowed to depart, under VFR rules, from Nantes or Poitiers to Les Sables d'Olonne (LFOO).

To participate in this event:
1) We kindly ask you to file this HERE (In French only). You can register all the team or for one pilot (We will try to find you the best teammate for this event).
2) Pilot n°1 must book an IFR arrival slot in the booking system available HERE.

Filing pilots participation form and booking an arrival slot are COMPULSORY to participate in this event.

Please remember:

Be ready and have your charts onboard;
Pay attention not to obstruct ongoing communication, particularly joining a new frequency;
Do not hesitate to take more fuel than expected. Some delays could occur;

Event rules

This event will be awarded one point for the Pilot Events award for every pilot participating in this event during the event's timeframe. All these conditions must be respected:

The pilot (or the whole team) has been registered, filing the form;
IFR arrival slot has been booked;
Both pilots have completed their own flight.

Both pilots must send their report.
