This page contains all information related to the software needed for the flight and ATC simulation activities within the IVAO network.
The software presented in this page is the only software approved for flying and providing air control services on IVAO. It is developed by the Software Development Department (SoftDev) at IVAO HQ level. It is therefore the SoftDev department that assumes full responsibility for any operating problem, compatibility and rights of use.
Similarly, the France division is not responsible for the development of the IvAc2 software, owned by a third party company external to IVAO, just as it does not ensure the development and updating of associated sector files.
For any questions about these software, consult the forum or write to the SoftDev department.
Aurora is the preferred Air Trafic Control software in the France Division. Presently in Beta Phase, it contains new functionalities and allows for a realistic and customizable experience
Contrary to IvAc, sector files are integrated in a centralised data base and are directly accessible from the software interface.
The Aurora client is available for Windows, MacOS and Linux.

Altitude is the new pilot client, presently in beta release, which is compatible with most flight simulation software (FSX, P3D, X-Plane). It also integrates a new flight plan management system, accessible via a web interface.
The Altitude client is available for Windows, MacOS and Linux.

MTL (Multiplayer Traffic Library) is a library of all aircraft texture available for the IVAO network. Its purpose is to allow each pilot to see the other aircraft connected to the network with the texture corresponding to their type of aircraft and their company.
MTL is installed automatically when installing IvAp, X-IvAp or Altitude.

Artifice is the new client allowing to run several programs simultaneously (Aurora and Altitude) with a single connection to the IVAO network. It is presently on beta release and will replace IvAi in the future.
